Dr Morgan O'Brien


Dr Morgan O'Brien is the principal doctor, at Broadbeach Medical Centre.

Morgan graduated from University College Cork, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Medicine, before immigrating to Australia in 1978 and opening Pacific Fair Medical Centre as a solo practice in 1979.  Through the delivery of a quality level of trusted service, coupled with a personable demeanour, Morgan has grown the practice into a large family medical centre, with a dedicated team and patients from all parts of the coast.

Morgan has been a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (F.A.M.A.C.) since 1982 and recently qualified as a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (C.I.M.E. - USA).

Dr Bruce Brodie


Dr Brodie has been practising in Broadbeach for over 26 years, having been the principal doctor in his practice at Victoria Square before moving to Pacific Fair in 2007 and now at the Broadbeach Medical Centre.

His special interests are the elderly and mens' health. He also continues to treat a number of nursing home residents in the area. 

Although his books are officially closed, he is happy to see new patients who have been specifically recommended to him.

Dr Shannon Springer


Dr Springer joined Broadbeach Medical Centre as a General Practitioner and Director in November 2016. 

A prominent Aboriginal doctor, Associate Professor Shannon Springer, was appointed as the Academic Lead for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health at Bond University in April 2015.

Dr Margaret Kilmartin


Margaret has extensive experience as a clinical General Practitioner, with a background in academic medical education and research. As Past President of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Margaret is seen to be a strong advocate for General Practice.

Dr Fiona Hatton


Fiona is a dedicated General Practitioner who enjoys all aspects of general medicine, including women's health, paediatrics and preventative medicine. She enjoys learning about all aspects of her patient's history.   She trained in both Newcastle and Sydney, before moving to the Gold Coast in 2004.

She is also a busy mother to 4 school aged sons.

Dr Ka-Kiu Cheung


Dr “KK” is an Australian born and trained GP with three young children of her own. She has a particular interest in women’s, children’s and preventative healthcare. She has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is currently working within a clinic focusing on children with developmental or behavioural concerns.  She has experience in breast feeding medicine and unsettled infants, having worked at the Mater Mothers Parenting Support Centre and also worked within a breast cancer screening clinic. 

Dr John Chuah

MB BS, BSc, Med (Hons), FAChSHM

John's special interests are HIV, Sexual Health, and Clinical Research, as well as tropical medicine, travel medicine, rural and Indigenous health.

John graduated from the University of NSW in 1974 and has since had solid experience in General Practice while being a member of many national and international steering committees on HIV and Sexual Health. He has been lecturing at Medical Schools at Griffith and Bond Universities, holding an academic title of Associate Professor at both Universities since 2004. Having worked in Papua New Guinea, Northern Territory and NSW, John now brings his extensive experience to Broadbeach Medical Centre.
