Assoc. Prof Shannon Springer

Dr Shannon graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery in 2005. He also went on to complete Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2014. It is also in 2014 that he won a VC Quality Award for Teaching Excellence.

In April of 2015 Dr Shannon was appointed as the Discipline Lead for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health at Bond University and received an Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching Australian Award for his work. Shannon currently holds the title of Associate Professor of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.

Dr Shannon Springer joined Broadbeach Medical centre in 2016 after moving from Mackay. Shannon undertakes his clinical work by flying to Charleville to work at the Charleville and Western Areas Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service, which is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
